Introduction and Objectives

The IVS-KOM project aims at the detailed specification and implementation of a reference system for vehicle communication for connected mobility. Based on largely standardized communication technologies and protocols, the extension for cooperative highly-automated driving will be defined, implemented and tested. The exchange of aggregated sensor information (»cooperative perception«) serve as a basis for procedures for cooperative maneuver coordination and recommendations. In the design of the reference system draft, emphasis is put on the use of heterogeneous communication technologies (WLAN-11p, mobile communications, DAB+) and its integration in a hybrid integral system. It is intended to integrate the system into different platforms for vehicles and infrastructure. The results will be tested and validated within the digital test field Dresden/Saxony under the »Synchronized Mobility 2023« initiative.
